Expeditions<\/h2><\/div>

All persons (whether Chilean or foreigners) whose legal residence is abroad and who wish to carry out scientific, technical or mountaineering expeditions in the Chilean border area, need authorization from the National Department of State Borders and Boundaries (DIFROL). The DIFROL permit is granted based on the place of residence of the expeditioners and not their nationality or country of origin.<\/p>\n
