International Boundary<\/h2><\/div><\/div>[vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]This term refers to the dividing line of the border between two countries or territories. International boundaries are established by treaties, awards and agreements, and are defined through geographical features, as well as straight lines, water divides and river thalwegs that define the boundary demarcation that establishes a country\u2019s integrity. These boundaries can be terrestrial, maritime or even aerial, depending on the location and geographical circumstances.<\/span><\/p>\n

The international boundary is represented as a layer of lines with vectorial characteristics, to be downloaded, used and visualized in projects in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software in shp, KMZ and OSM formats.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is important to mention that the availability and presentation of this International Boundary, and any use made thereof, does not imply under any circumstances the approval for the circulation of any work representing the International Boundary, and as such said material must be submitted to this National Department as provided for in the current regulations for its review, approval and circulation.<\/span><\/p>\n
