Bilateral Technical Meetings with the Argentine Republic<\/h2><\/div><\/div>[vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

The LI Meeting of the Chilean-Argentine Mixed Technical Group (GTM), the XIX Meeting of the Binational Commission for the Optimization of the Sistema Cristo Redentor Pass, and the XII Meeting of the Chile-Argentina Integrated Controls Technical Committee were held in Buenos Aires on July 2 and 3, 2024, in the presence of the Ambassador of the Republic of Chile in the Argentine Republic, Mr. Jos\u00e9 Antonio Viera Gallo, and with a welcome message from the Undersecretary for Issues of the Americas of the Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Mariano Vergara.<\/p>\n

At these meetings – which were also attended by national, regional and provincial officials from both countries – problems and opportunities specific to the common border were discussed, and it was agreed to continue with the coordination for the treatment of the issues on the agenda agreed for this purpose.<\/p>\n

The Chilean delegation was headed by the Director of State Borders and Boundaries (S) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Pedro Pablo Silva S\u00e1nchez, while the Argentine delegation was headed by the Director of Limits and Borders of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship, Minister Santiago Villalba.<\/p>\n
