XIII Meeting of the Chile-Peru Border Integration and Development Committee
The XIII Chile-Peru Border Integration and Development Committee was held on April 24 and 25, 2025. This annual event brings together the regions of Tarapacá, Arica and Parinacota, Tacna, and Moquegua to adopt commitments related to 17 areas of mutual interest.
The latest edition of this committee was chaired by Border Director Pedro Pablo Silva Sánchez, at an event that welcomed more than 350 members of the Chilean and Peruvian delegations to the city of Arica. The working groups established reported progress on 93% of the commitments made in 2023, adopting a total of 131 commitments for 2025.
During the second day, the Conference Series “Cooperation, Integration, and Good Practices for Regional Border Development” was successfully held, bringing together seven experts to share examples of successful experiences on issues of bilateral interest to the delegations present.
