XXXIX meeting of the "Región de Los Lagos" Integration Committee
In the city of Neuquén, Province of Neuquén, Argentine Republic, on June 25 and 26, 2025, was held the XXXIX meeting of the Región de Los Lagos Integration Committee, chaired by the Director of Limits and Borders of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Argentina, Minister Santiago Villalba, and co-chaired by the Director of Borders of the Chilean Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Pedro Pablo Silva Sánchez.
The meeting, included the participation of the Governors of the Province of Neuquén and Río Negro, Rolando Figueroa and Alberto Weretilneck. On behalf of the Republic of Chile, attendees included Ambassador of Chile in the Republic of Argentine, José Antonio Viera Gallo; the Governors of the Regions of Ñuble, Biobío, and La Araucanía; Óscar Crisóstomo Llanos, Sergio Giacaman García, and René Saffirio Espinoza, respectively.
The aforesaid authorities stressed the importance of this thirty-ninth meeting of the Committee, highlighting the large number of participants, both representing the public and private sectors, and the civil society sectors, all of which evidences the close brotherhood between both nations. They also relevated the need that the outcomes of the current meeting are directed to achieve commitments that improve the quality of life of the inhabitants of the regions involved, the importance of energy integration, and the Atlantic-Pacific connectivity.
